Multi-user intermodal transport facility touted for Leonora

The Shire of Leonora has revealed it has been in discussions for months with rail and freight operators about a multi-user intermodal transport facility in the northern Goldfields town.  A proposed site, south of the Leonora townsite, has already been identified.

Shire of Leonora CEO Jim Epis says discussions began in January with multiple groups, including Arc Infrastructure, Qube Ports and Bulk and rail haulage operator Watco Australia.  He says the project would reduce the number of heavy vehicles movements through the town centre and provide additional income sources.
