KALGOORLIE CONSULTATION SESSION – PLANNING REFORM
The McGowan Government is currently undertaking consultation to seek the views of the Western Australian community on changes to improve our planning system.
Our Action Plan for Planning Reform includes 19 initiatives to reduce red tape, remove barriers to development and make planning easier to navigate. We are well progressed in delivery of this plan – and we want to take it further.
Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Planning, Jessica Stojkovski MLA is currently undertaking consultation around the State and will be visiting Kalgoorlie next week. I would like to invite you to join Jessica and I for a breakfast forum next Friday morning to discuss proposed reforms to our planning system, answer any queries and discuss ideas. Details of the event are:
Date: Friday 30 July 2021, 8:00am – 10:00am
Venue: Kalgoorlie Chamber of Commerce & Industry Boardroom
Unit 3/58 Egan Street, Kalgoorlie
This will be a COVID Safe event and registration will be required. Should you wish to register in advance, email Katie Anderson at Katie.Anderson@mp.wa.gov.au.
It is important that we collect the views of a broad cross section of our community – including the concerns, ideas and views of regional Western Australians. I hope your organisation is able to join us next Friday, however if that is not suitable, an online survey is available at https://www.dplh.wa.gov.au/planning-reform.
Thank you for your ongoing contribution and commitment to our community.
