The Local Jobs Program – Request for Tender – Local Apply
The Federal Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment has published a Request for Tender (RFT) seeking submissions from entities interested in delivering Employment Facilitator and Support Services for the Local Jobs Program 2021-2025 in 26 new Employment Regions.
The Local Jobs Program
The Australian Government announced the expansion of the Local Jobs Program (LJP) to a further 26 Employment Regions and the extension of the LJP to 30 June 2025.
The national rollout of the program will support employment growth and assist the upskilling of job seekers into jobs that will be in high demand ‘post-recovery’ using community-designed solutions. The program seeks to match job seekers with in-demand training and employment opportunities and focuses on upskilling, reskilling, and establishing employment pathways for those looking for work, to help them join the labour market as quickly as possible.
As part of the national rollout, 26 new Employment Facilitators (and Support Officers in 22 regions) will join the existing network of 25 Employment Facilitators and Support Officers, from 1 July 2021.
Western Australia has 6 new employment regions including both Kalgoorlie and Esperance with both of these regions only delivering Employment Facilitator Services and not an LJP Support Officer.
