G.E. Business Register Sundowner a Success
The G.E. Business Register hosted a Christmas Sundowner last week at the Overland Hotel in Kalgoorlie with more than 130 attendees, representing local SMEs, State and Local government, mining companies and their major suppliers. Hosted by the Chamber of Minerals and Energy’s Ryan O’Hanlon and the GEDC Local Content Adviser, Peter Rampellini, the event featured presentations from AngloGold Ashanti, Gold Fields, Northern Star Resources and the Shire of Coolgardie on their insights and success stories from using the G.E. Business Register over the past year.
A calendar of events for 2022 was launched with forums, workshops and meet the supplier days planned across the region to assist regional businesses to connect with mining companies and their major suppliers to increase regional content. The first event is scheduled for 2 March 2022 called The Shire of Coolgardie Minerals Forum which will be held in Kambalda, more details will follow early in the new year.

As at 1 December 2021 there are 620 local businesses and Shires on the register which has seen over 6,400 users viewing the platform with them viewing over 35,750 pages and staying on the register for 3 minutes and 53 seconds. On average there are 15 new uses a day viewing the Register so the future is looking bright.
